How did I get here?
I was born. Fast forward 28 years. I was extensively cataloging the metadata on my music collection it occurred to me that perhaps I could make this kind of work into a career. After asking around and doing some research I narrowed in on the iSchool at the University of Washington.
Where am I now?
I am a recent graduate of the Master of Science in Information Management program at the University of Washington. My main areas of interest are User Experience and Information Architecture.
Why did I create this site?
It's a much more effective portfolio than the one that exists on my hard drive. Plus, I will graduate in June and I am looking for a job.
What happened to my music collection project?
It's probably a project that will never be finished. And to be honest, that's how I like it. Whether it is using tags to give music more context, creating tag clouds or dynamically updating tags as I listen to music, all of this is an effort to build playlists that someone would actually want to listen to. Well, assuming you have my taste in music.
